Question: Are you allowed to enter if you have 3 Aussies and 1 NZ on a team?

From what I understand, you can only for the AUS qualifier. The AUS qualifier is open to AUS and NZ participants. NZ qualifier is open to NZ residents only.

Just to clarify the passport issue.

6 Months validity means: With more than 6 months to the expiration date. ie: Expiry prior to 3rd October 2013 is NOT valid for an international visa into the US.

It takes 10 working days to get a passport f rom the Australian government. With the Sydney finals date quite close to the Los Angeles event, that will not allow enough time to travel. If you think you have a good chance of making the Sydney finals, and then possibly the USA, you need to organise your passport now - or risk your spot.

Hope that helps some.

Good to see Australia will finally be able to get a guaranteed representation in eSports.

To whom ever makes it, show 'em what we have to offer!

This actually concerns me a bit though. Some players in our top cod teams are actually under 18. Can't activision give an exemption or something to under 18 players who are in a top team?

Then that would be unfair for people not in a top team. The top teams will still be top teams with fill ins anyway.

my only issue is the LAN event being on a friday. with it being an 18+ event wouldn't you think most people of that age would work 5 days or have uni 5days a week? just doesn't make sense to me

So close to the International event definitely has its pitfalls on venue and date selection, but wouldn't you ask for a day off for the possibility of chasing a $10k prize pool, trip to LA and $1,000,000 prize pool?

This only effects 32 individuals. Got to make the finals first :)

I would like to confirm if we can have 3 NZers and 1 Aussie and still participate under the AUS/NZ Qualifier?

--

I think it's 18+ cause in American they are still counted for minors. Meaning they would have to have a parent travel with them, which is a little to expensive.

Also usually under 18's have school.

I still believe that if a player turns 18 before 15 March they should be aloud to compete.

Not being 18 or over kinda disappointing not able to complete an the game rating law issue (MA 18+)?. There might be an big upset for those that are not 18, to take out the competition. In the end best of luck to all who are planning to complete ! Make me wished I played cod.

G'day vanz, been a while... How's it going?

Just wondering, there wouldn't be a chance of playing in the comp if i turn 18 on the 16th March, being the day after the Sydney comp?

Was just wondering after seeing the approval of 17 year olds in the US and was wondering if maybe the requirement of being 18 was due to the overseas travel which i would be of age for.
Understanding if the exemption isn't possible, was just wondering as i wouldn't mind giving it another crack.

Cheers

Cheese, great to see you back mate!

It's with regret I have to say that this would not make you eligible for the finals event. It would seem this is possibly the worst luck ever for you, but hope you understand.

Ah true, Oh well always 2014 haha.

Great work on expanding the competitive scene in Australia. Playing pub lately and couldn't believe how many people mention ACL these days, it's awesome! Only gonna become more renown with opprotunities from huge events such as Xp. I remember back to the first melbourne LAN I attended and to see how much it's evolved is astounding.

Hopefully will catch ya later on in the year at an ACL event, starting uni this year so completely unsure of what time constraints il be hindered by but it'd certainly be great to give it a shot.
