In the same article, Metacritic also announced their Game of the Year, Telltale's The Walking Dead, with an aggregated score of 95.

Im surprised to see Far Cry 3 up there. Especially If it's anything like Far Cry 2.

I didn't think XCOM was that great. It was extremely buggy and had many terrible mechanics and design choices.

Far Cry 3 was amazing. I have only ever played Far Cry 3 in the Far Cry series but I believe all 3 Far Cry games are very different, in terms of story at least.

It is 100x better than 2. It's not a bad game at all.

Playing through The Walking Dead at the moment. Very good, however, I have a few problems with it.
The main problem is that it markets itself as a game where your choices will affect you experience, but really, all it does is change some dialogue. The game is in fact extremely linear. I have no problems with linear games, but it basically states during the intro that it's not.
