It is the biggest community, considering we have local LANs every few months with 8 teams minimum (ALL Victorian teams). Unfortunately the average age is pretty low so that rules over half of it out IMO, and also BYOC is an issue for some people.

I'd also like to see a comparison of how many people travelled from interstate to BrisLAN compared to the upcoming Melbourne LAN.

k from what i can count there are 21 melbourne players and 24 traveling interstate players.

Dont know where they live but id say they are mostly locals.


Last years brislan was the AH Finals so it would clearly have more interstate teams, i see where you comming from with the ages and the BYOC but last year when the bris finals was accounced melb people argued it should be in melb cause you guyz have the biggest community. No use having the bigger community if they don't show.

All in all im pretty happy with the melb turn out but i just think there are a few more straggelers to sign up hopefully they sign up in the next few days.

Nah brisLAN finals had a way bigger turnout of local players, more than 21 players easy.

I think AHP are all from melbourne, as are Hawkeye but im not 100%. Also Docko is coming instead of Fearless Dark says? Anyway I'm pretty happy with the local turnout. Everything considered, 16-18 teams isn't too bad.

Well according to eric there will be couple more teams to sign up and yes melbourne has heaps of local team just that most of em have migrated to MW2. Back then before mw2 came out melbourne easily have around 16 teams for the local lan regardless of B.Y.O

i know that 2 more teams will sign up soxy/flynn's team and kamikaze's team.
