Hey, so we sort of have a H4/H:CEA discussion thread, but since CEA is out I thought I'd make a new one for H4.

I really can't wait for this game, I'm glad they are going back to the Chief/Cortana and their story, can't wait for the suspense of who the new enemy/storyline will be. I played only five levels of the Reach campaign before I thought it sucked, played through the rest of them dozens of times though, love the Halo story .

In multiplayer I just hope they give as much customization as possible, then we can just make our own competitive settings. Oh, and some good maps would be nice. Not fussed about the BR/DMR as long as there is no bloom on the DMR obviously.

Already confirmed for 360, I think H5 and H6 will be next gen though.

I was hoping H4 would be a launch title for the next generation xbox. It would really kick start the new console in terms of sales.

IGN said it's being made using an edited version of the REACH engine... please god be edited the f**k out of. I originally heard it was being made using an edited version of the Halo 3 engine though, which would be the greatest thing ever.

If 343 plays it right, this could be as popular as H2 back in the day. They need to think about what has been good about the previous Halo games. It also need to attract a new fans, most old fans have quit gaming in general and moved on, so it can't be 100% based on H2 or Halo CE.

In order to help boost the community, the game "out of the box" needs to be close to competitive settings in order to mix social and competitive gamers. Starcraft 2 is a pretty good example of that.

Here's to hoping 343 and MLG become besties.
