After all deliberation I will go on a limb and say H4 has a good chance this time. I will see you all on10am tomorrow.

I played no XBL, only custom games in H2. So when I first got XBL I had a choice between CoD4 and Halo 3.. The reason I chose H3 was that it seemed more consistent and everybody was on an even playing field, everybody has the same gun and the better shooter wins. I didn't like CoD that much because it was pretty much first person to look the enemy gets the kills. Also the weapons felt like a game of "scissors, paper, rock".
Halo 4 has added so many variables that it feels way too much like a CoD game. Too many starting weapons, a starting shot-gun pistol, instant respawn, terrible and massive maps, sprint, LMGs, a one-shot kill sniper ffs.. The game out of the box is a disgrace to the old Halo franchise.. The fact that they did have ranks ready for the launch, or a good-connection search option just makes me hate 343i even more..
The competitive settings will salvage what they can from the game but unless I'm playing customs 24/7 I'm going hate playing.. I see that the game has potential to be great, but the game I want to play will never be the standard settings..
And at the end of the day, Treyarch make a better CoD style game than 343i, so if I want to play that style of game, I'm going to choose BO2.. This depresses me..
Also would like to say thanks to Hoggy and crew for doing all they can to make the game playable..
EDIT - Join in progress is, without a doubt, the worst addition to a Halo game, ever..
