Astro A40s cracking sound

So I've got a pair of A40s that when I'm in skype always seem to emit a buzzing/cracking noise. I can't hear the noise myself but every time I am in a call with someone they can hear it. FYI I don't use a mixamp.

Help?

Mine used to have an issue where it was a noisy power supply, but that was through the mixamp.

Could be a faulty connection with the microphone plug/socket, spray some CRC or WD40 on a cotton bud and clean them out.
