Is this real life? It sure is, and Halo 3 is making a final stand at ACL's Melbourne event this July! Wipe the dust off the BRs and Google what a 4-shot is because we're going to be seeing lots of them!
It's official, ACL Melbourne will play host to the first Halo 3 4v4 tournament since the 2010 National Finals in Brisbane. Running on Saturday July 7th, the Halo 3 4v4 tournament will bring players new and old back to the mainstage for a final Halo 3 showdown! The Halo 3 tournament will not clash with either the Halo Reach FFA or the Halo Reach 4v4 tournaments.
The Halo structure for ACL Melbourne would be as follows:
Saturday July 7th:
10:30 - 6pm: Halo 3 4v4 Tournament
6.30pm - 9pm: Halo Reach FFA Tournament
Sunday July 8th:
All day: Halo Reach 4v4 Tournament
In past ACL tournaments, we have had Pool Play leading into Double Elimination. At ACL Melbourne, we will have immediate Double Elimination where all teams are seeded by their ACL season points. In the event a team has no season points, they will be seeded randomly.
Entry Fee:
Halo Reach 4v4 + Halo 3 4v4: $45
Halo Reach 4v4 + Halo Reach FFA + Halo 3 4v4: $50
Halo 3 4v4: $20
Note: Prices above are for online payment ONLY. Add $5 to pay at the door.
As seen above, payment for the Halo Reach 4v4 tournament would also gain you access to the Halo 3 4v4 tournament, so there would be no extra charge. Entry to the Halo 3 4v4 tournament alone is $20 per player. There would be no cash prizes for the Halo 3 4v4 tournament, all money would go towards the Reach 4v4 prizes.
