You don't really need a teacher, just follow a few simple rules.
1. Play more. I looked at your ranked games the other day and you have like 25 played all up. Compare that to two of the best players on here (Jaydos excluded) in weasel and beast who have well over 500 played.
2. Do not sit there and rage at people when they go full retard at level 3 and feed kills and your team is suddenly 0-3. Just ignore anyone who is talking sh** and call your MIAs.
3. Pick a role (AP mid/AD carry/jungler/support/solo top) and learn the champs in that role. The worst thing you can do is play new champs/roles every game as you will improve a lot slower. Also don't be afraid to play new champs in normals (Never play a champ you don't feel comfortable with in ranked) and some champions are easier to learn than others (For example Sona and Soraka are extremely easy supports but someone like Blitzcrank takes a lot of practice).

Agree with it all except this part. This is only really helpful in a TO5. If you go into a ranked game thinking "Ok im gonna play Orianna im gonna go mid and im gonna carry us to victory" what do you do when the first pick on your team insta-locks as Veigar, Annie or Malzahar. In solo queue you need to be adaptable. Try to learn a few good choices from all archetypes, that way you can pick what your team needs and still be confident that you will have a good game.

I think Hugh is trying to say that should the opportunity arise play the role that you want to play in a team of 5 don't just be like well its DAT flavour of the month time and be like "I'm going to lock in shaco or shen cause they're op." The point that Hugh forgot to add in was game awareness (this does come with playing more games) however, you can still look at the map, do not rely on your team mates for anything cause chances are they're retarded. Any role you play you should be buy wards ANY ROLE. Also watch players that you think suit your play style for example if you want to play jungle, and you want to play a passive style jungler that controls team buffs and helps lanes out watch saint. If you want to see an aggressive ganker watch snoopeh or odd one (odd one is more of a support jungler - gets his mid fed and works with his mid to gank, works well however you're relying on your team mates so not exactly the most effective way to play the game).

Perhaps I should have specified in an ideal world
and obviously you can't play the same role every game, but you should always be focusing on one role when you can (At our level anyway).
