The making of a $25,000 camera. Digital but will only shoot in B+W, and by shoot I mean it has a dedicated monochrome sensor meaning it doesn't convert colour images into black and white, it shoots B+W.

That's a sexy camera and all, but, why would you want to buy a $25,000 camera just for it to shoot B+W pictures? My guess is the quality of the B+W photos this thing takes is alot better than any other camera that converts coloured to B+W, but still. I think i'd prefer having a great coloured camera, that can also convert them into B+W. Especially if I was prepared to pay $25,000. This is probably an extremely ignorant comment to professional photographers, but oh well haha

Yeah the theory is that a monochrome sensor will allow for some of the best if not THE best photos of almost any camera in existence. However that's only if the combination of optics and the sensor are as good as people are expecting it to be.
However this 25k version is more for display than for taking photos. It comes with a set of gloves to handle the thing, and the only people who are only going to be able to afford it are those with more money than sense. There is a non "Herman" version which will set you back around the same as a typical Leica M9 (Around 7k) but again we're not talking your average everyday photographer or even those who consider themselves professionals. We're talking professional photographers who probably consider that amount of money a good investment they'll easily be able to make back.
