the movie didn't develop itself very well.
It felt as if the characters were forced to be together and fake the chemistry between them.

Yes, at times it felt like they just told a group of comedians to...."go for it" and run with it, no lines.
Still enjoyed most of it....got me laughing

A lot of really solid suggestions in that list.

WTF is wrong with you?!
You are missing out on what is possibly the most epic story ever written. Also, The Two Towers probably has the greatest battle scene ever in a movie.
Get off the forums and go buy/download the trilogy and don't come back until you've watched them.

Same. There wasn't a movie so I read this instead of one of my year 12 english novels. I felt I could've done much better text response essays quoting The Hobbit than the rubbish books they through at us :S
Movie on way though...
EDIT: Just watched Dorian Gray (2009), 5/10. Much preferred the 1945 version.

Fuck yeah, its worth it for the battle scenes alone. I think anyone would struggle to find better choreographed battle sequences in any other movie.
For a trilogy that is missing over 60% of the story from the books, it sure does do them justice.
