Just to put some light on the situation: It is unlikely that ACL will be running an event in early July. We are still attempting to finalise dates in August however. As per some of the comments in this thread, we have been looking for suitable venues and dates for the Melbourne event since 2012. Other larger events (AVCON, PAX for example) have hindered this process for the July period. The Sydney event has been locked in since 2012 also (not the Melbourne one).
We realise this is a huge inconvenience for our members. Please accept our apologies. -

Nothing been decided, let me make that clear before I make my next point.
Out of curiosity, is the stream/production/stage seen as a 'must have' by the community? The stream and stage takes up 3-4 of our staff, expensive internet and streaming equipment. It's very hard to justify this use of resources for 40 viewers all weekend and to be blatantly honest something I won't be committing that energy into again for such low numbers. As an FYI, average viewership was about 430 for CoD and 480 for SC2 at any given time.
What I mean here is - if the choice was to axe Halo, or keep it but remove some of the spectacle elements - would it be worth it for the community still?
Keen to hear your thoughts. -

Just to remind everyone that leaving your gear at the venue is at your own risk. We encourage people to take their discs and headsets home at a minimum. -

OMG how did I miss this thread ?!?! Shaun you straight up baller. I have retired from H1 now after a few fleeting resurgences with 1v1s against the likes of Benno etc and an epic(ly fail?) 4v4 against Immunity with Ogre1. We came out on top. This is where the controller goes up on the hook - after a long and successful 10 year career
In other words - would love this if I had time to game any more! Great to see you back. -
