The Australian Cyber League is back for 2015 and is proud to announce its first live event to be held in Brisbane at the end of May!

Recently, ACL announced preliminary details for the first event of its 2015 season, to be held in Brisbane on May 30-31. Held at The Edge in Brisbane’s Southbank precinct, ACL Brisbane is shaping up to be one of the most exciting LAN events of the year. This event will feature the powerhouses of competitive console gaming, so come join us as we take gaming to the next level!

Talent Announcement

For 2015, ACL has made some important changes to our live event structure, keeping us in line with the top eSports organisations from around the world. One of these changes is to implement a 15+ policy, which will be broken down further in THIS article. Another change we have made is to concentrate our focus on particular games for each event. Therefore, although our PC titles will be shown some love at our future 2015 events, ACL Brisbane is all about console, featuring Call of Duty and Halo competitions for Xbox One.

MA15+ Policy

The Australian Cyber League is proud to announce it will bringing live competitions for the following titles at ACL Brisbane.

Call of Duty: AW [4v4] - $3500*
  1. $2,000
  2. $1,000
  3. $500

*Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare at ACL Brisbane is a 10,000 MLG Pro Points tournament.

Halo 2 Anniversary [4v4] - $1500
  1. $800
  2. $450
  3. $250

*Prizes based on 16+ teams for CoD and 8 teams for Halo.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare team passes for ACL Brisbane are sold out. Originally, when we announced ACL Brisbane we set the team cap at 20 teams, which was due mainly to venue restrictions. The last 2 days prior to cutoff has seen an influx of registrations. When only 1 team pass remained available, 3 different teams all tried to purchase the last team pass at the same time. After taking a day to confirm that we can accommodate this many teams we are announcing that 22 teams will compete at ACL Brisbane. You can see the full list of competing teams below.

We are unable to field anymore teams than 22 teams, as we are stretching capacity already. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. I would encourage teams to sign up for ACL Sydney which does not as yet have a limit on registration numbers. This event is also only 5 weeks away, so get pumped for more Call of Duty action at an extra special event! You can register for ACL Sydney here
